Originally built in 1895 makes the Warehouse Hotel amazingly 126 years old, although you would never think that. Scrupulous restoration of the building has transformed it into a modern and stylish hotel. The lobby has an industrial feel from its high vaulted ceiling, concrete flooring and the frequent use of metal finishes. The toughest part of check-in is not being distracted by the call of the wide selection of spirits in the Lobby Bar.

The industrial feel carries through to the rooms with concrete walls but is softened with wooden floors and cabinetry with touches of warm mood lighting. Warehouse sanctuary rooms have limited to no windows, so keep this in mind when booking.

There’s no fitness centre however there is a nice sized infinity pool for those who wasn’t to get some laps in.

Transportation In Singapore

Traffic and pollution within the city has been significantly reduced by government measures that have been in place since 1975, mainly by reducing the number of private vehicles on the roads.

Singapore is mainly flat so it’s perfect for walking and exploring, even though there’s a lot of people it doesn’t feel overly congested. For when you’re getting tired or a little too hot there’s plenty of options for transportation; busses, MRT, LRT or taxis are available throughout the city.

Shopping In Singapore

Shopping is somewhat of a past time for a lot of Singaporeans and can become a trap of maxing out credit cards to those with less fortitude.

There are definitely still bargains to find in Singapore, but do your research on those specific items you’re after. Just don’t expect to pick up the same bargains like you would in Thailand, Malaysia or China. You can haggle for a better price, but be polite and respectful, most of the time the haggling has already been done for you.
